Our silicone foam tube has a predominantly closed cell structure with an integral smooth surface skin. It has very low water absorption and excellent thermal insulation properties, and is also a good acoustic insulation material at the temperature extremes where thermoplastic foams cannot be used. It is an ideal insulation material for high temperature tubes, pipes and hoses. Our foam tubes are suitable for long term continuous use from -40F (-40℃ ) to 485F (250℃ ) .
Used for filling gaps, making circular seals, or fabricated into round parts such as spacers, washers, or stoppers. Silicone is the go to choice for high temperature applications.
The following are part of our customized silicone foam tubes:
Pipe Insulation
Closed cell foam tubing can help prevent heat loss in hot water pipes and condensation on cold water pipes. It is often used to insulate and protect pipes in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
HVAC Systems
Closed cell foam tubing is used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems to insulate refrigerant lines and ductwork, helping to improve energy efficiency and maintain temperature control.
Electrical Wiring
Closed cell foam tubing can also be used to insulate and protect electrical wiring and cables.
Sound Dampening
Closed cell foam tubing can provide some sound-dampening properties, which is useful in applications where noise reduction is necessary, such as in automotive exhaust systems or HVAC ducts.
Automotive
It is used to insulate and protect various components in vehicles, including air conditioning lines, fuel lines, and wiring.
Sports and Recreation
Closed cell foam tubing is used in various sports and recreation equipment, such as for padding on bicycle handlebars, kayak paddles, and more.
Construction
It can be employed for insulating building structures, especially in areas prone to moisture or water intrusion.
